ADL_VDL is a forward-thinking architecture office based in Amsterdam, redefining
the relationship between architecture, technology, and nature. Our work integrates
cutting-edge digital tools—AI, robotic fabrication, parametric and computational
—with bio-based and natural materials to create innovative, sustainable, and
future-ready spaces.
As a young and agile studio, ADL_VDL is already shaping the built environment with a diverse portfolio, including high-rise office and residential towers, low-rise apartment buildings, and private villas across the Netherlands. Every project is driven by a deep commitment to sustainability, well-being, and pushing the boundaries of design.
ADL_VDL was founded in September 2024 by Thijs van der Lely, following years of experience at renowned prize-winning firms like OMA. The practice is built on a foundation of world-class expertise, design-driven research, and a passion for exploring new possibilities in architecture.
