In Amsterdam we designed the NDK apartments and offices, Artloft Amsterdam and Sloterdijk, among others. In this city it is often about little space, many rules and a building that already has a history. That is exactly where good design makes the difference.
The canal ring is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the area within the Singelgracht and Plan Zuid are nationally protected townscapes, and neighbourhoods such as the Admiralenbuurt, Betondorp and Oud-Zuid are protected by the municipality. Building plans are tested against the design policy De Schoonheid van Amsterdam and assessed by the Commissie Omgevingskwaliteit. On leasehold land, permission from the municipality may also be needed for changes.

For many changes, yes. It is set out in your leasehold terms. We include it in the preparation of the permit application.
Can you renovate an apartment or upper-floor home?
Yes. We work on interiors and renovations, where the owners' association often needs to agree as well.
