Architect in Blaricum
A Gooi farm village with villas in the green. We design homes in Blaricum that respect the scale of the village.
Blaricum is one of the old Gooi farm villages. The village centre has been a nationally protected village view since 1967, with farmhouses, village greens and low buildings in the green. Around it lie villa districts with generous plots and many trees.
In the protected village view, building plans are assessed more strictly. Like Laren and Eemnes, Blaricum is advised by MooiSticht's BEL committee. We start with the plot and the village: roof, scale, material and relation to the greenery determine whether a design belongs here.

Frequently asked questions
Can I convert an old farmhouse into a home?
Often yes, with care for its characteristic form. In a protected village view or with a monument extra rules apply, which we work out in advance.
How long before I can build?
Allow for design time plus the permit procedure, usually 8 weeks with a possible 6-week extension.
